Frequently asked questions

What clients ask before booking.

How early should I begin wedding dress alterations?

Plan your first fitting 8–12 weeks before the wedding. Detailed reconstruction, specialty fabrics, or major size changes may require more time.

How early should a wedding party reserve tuxedos?

Eight weeks before the event is the safest target. Requests inside three weeks depend on collection availability, shipping, and fitting capacity.

How much do alterations cost?

Every garment is different. Construction, fabric, layers, requested changes, and turnaround determine the price. We inspect the garment and provide an estimate at the fitting.

How long do standard alterations take?

Most standard work is planned for approximately 7–10 business days. Complex garments and peak seasons may require more time.

Do you offer rush or same-day alterations?

Yes, when the garment construction and shop capacity allow it. Priority and same-day fees apply.

What should I bring to a fitting?

Bring the garment, the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear with it, and any accessories that affect the final length or fit.

Can you alter clothing that was not purchased from LLOUIMA?

Yes. We alter clothing from other stores and designers for men and women.

Do you serve wedding parties with members outside Huntsville?

Yes. We establish measurement instructions and deadlines for out-of-town members, then coordinate their information with the local party plan.
